Midmar Steam Rail

the lapel badge and epaulets of the of the Midmar Steam Railway club which i believe
was originally started buy the narrow gauge preservation society but at the time i joined
and later served on the committee there was no mention or dealings with this society,
M S R was a supporters club which operated under the auspices of the Natal Parks Board
to whom the historical village belonged

sadly this is the only photo i have of Sandy

Eston was a narrow gauge station near Pietermaritzburg,the line no longer exists, the building was dismantled and rebuilt here in the historical village midmar

this photo of UVE 2 was take by D.E.Baker in 1978,i believe the loco was standing in the parking  area at the entrance
to the historical village,this was before the decision to add a narrow gauge railway to the village

NGG 113 although she was a runner,she was never ever finished  and never ran at Midmar

this guards van came from Port Elizabeth but it also never go to be restored before the end came
